Week 1: Chain Gang (Chains and basic stitches)
Week 2: Hip to be Square (Granny Squares and basic stitches)
Week 3: Splish Splash Takin’ A Bath (Washcloth and working in rows)
Week 4: Riding the Wave (Wave Stitch and working a tube)
Week 5: You Spin Me Round (Working in round with increase and decrease)
Needed For Class:
Worsted Weight Yarn - I suggest light, single colored yarn to start. Universal has a great worsted weight acrylic yarn. Also, Cotton Supreme is a natural fiber and will be great for the washcloth in week 3
Size I-9 Hook - Clover Amour available in store. Nice tapered hook with an ergonomic handle. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WOOD/BAMBOO to start.
Stitch Markers – ones that open and close like safety pins are best. We will be using these to mark rows and hold stitches so have more than a few.
Scissors – sharp that can easily cut yarn.
Pencil and Paper – more than just for taking notes!
Folder/Binder – there will be handouts each week.
