No knitting experience required!
Learn and develop the basic skills - casting on, knit & purl stitches, casting/binding off, and other tips and hints.
1st class - Long tail cast on, knit stitch, yarn management
2nd class - Review, purl stitch, cast off, learn to identify stitches, transition between both stitches, tips & hints
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn - avoid dark colors
US size 7 or 8 needles - we recommend ChiaoGoo bamboo circular, 24" cable

| Instructor Bio: | My name is Christine Adams, after living in southern NJ for over 40 years, my husband and I retired to Fredericksburg area in 2012. Transitioning from the hectic life of running a family owned manufacturing firm, to a quieter slower lifestyle, I decided it was time to try knitting. I fell in love. Within a year, I was working at my lys, and my knitting IQ grew in leaps and bounds. Six months later taught my first class. Since I have taught basic beginner, different colorworks, brioche, socks and steeking classes. My goal is for my students to love knitting. I want my students to understand the how & why of stitches, realize the when & where of the pattern and develop a knitter's eye & intuition. That knowledge and confidence enables them to tackle techniques, projects and mistakes without panicking and with confidence. |
