Circular weaving has gained in popularity in recent years due to the accessible nature of the medium. When weaving in a circle, there’s no need for fancy tools or complicated equipment. In this introductory workshop, we’ll turn simple embroidery hoops into looms for a lap friendly craft. You’ll learn the basics of weaving in a circle while creating your own woven wall hanging. We’ll cover a variety of techniques to get you started on your weaving journey or give seasoned weavers a different perspective on the craft. Let’s weave!

Instructor Bio: | Emily Nicolaides is an artist and weaver living in Limassol, Cyprus. With more than a decade of weaving experience, Emily is most known for her research into circular weaving. In 2022, she wrote the first book on the topic, Amazing Circular Weaving, published by Abrams Books. |
