Discover the Magic of Stranded Knitting!
There’s something truly magical about stranded knitting. The finished pieces are bold, dynamic, and jaw-droppingly gorgeous. But it’s not just about the look—there’s a rhythm to it that’s downright meditative (and, dare we say, a little addictive). It’s no wonder it’s one of your instructor’s absolute favorite techniques!
In this class, we’ll unravel the mysteries of true Fair Isle knitting. You’ll learn to hold a strand in each hand like a pro and master those elusive floats. By the end, your hat will be as stunning on the inside as it is on the outside—seriously, it’s like magic.
Not sure about switching up your style? No worries! If you’re an English-style knitter (that’s right, yarn in your right hand), this is the perfect gateway to the world of Continental knitting (yep, yarn in your left hand). Spoiler: It’s way easier than it sounds.
By the time we’re done, you won’t just have a gorgeous hat—you’ll also have a toolbox full of skills to take your knitting game to the next level.
Here’s what we’ll cover (and trust us, it’s just the tip of the iceberg):
- Stretchy cast-on for a comfy brim
- Knitting in the round: tips, tricks, and secrets
- Magic loop: it’s simpler than you think!
- Shaping with increases and decreases
- Chart reading with ease
- Mastering Fair Isle/stranded knitting
- Finishing touches that make your hat truly chef’s kiss
